Design System
Working with the existing logo, signature blue, and typeface choice, I worked to further develop the design system for the Benchmark product.
Color Palette
Benchmark’s mission is to provide a solution to allow sales engineers to track, prioritize, and analyze at every stage of their sales cycle to make better decisions. Benchmark’s signature blue was selected to invoke feelings of trust, order, and security.
Starting with Benchmark’s signature blue and their existing logo, the color palette of blue as the primary color, purple as secondary, and pink as tertiary, compiled to create their color palette. Gradients, signifying colors, and blacks & whites were added to further speak to Benchmark’s tone.
Typography
San Francisco Compact was established as Benchmark’s typeface because of it’s high legibility, even at small sizes. Working with this typeface choice, a hierarchy was established to provide consistency and increase navigability.
Components
A component library allows for a functional consistency as well as a visual consistency throughout the experience. In the early stage of this product, the below components were created and utilized for this reason.
